There's some things left to be desired from this, and considering all the wank it's gotten since it was announced due to it being by the same people who brought us Sailor Moon Abridged, I think they did a pretty good job. The names are a bit off-putting (consistency, people, learn it - Bunny, NARU, Melvin), and Luna looks ... uh, kind of scary. I won't rag on the acting or the sound quality because the former, well, what do you expect outside of like Hollywood, and the latter is something even professionals struggle with on big films.
There're at least two other groups that have set out to release SM movies over the course of the past couple of years, but this is the only one that's really seen a ton of headway and an actual release since inception. Opinions on this?

No, it isn't. It's a movie by fans, not Takeuchi-sensei herself, hence the term "fan movie."

The effects and camera quality are really good for an indie movie. The sound quality is a bit meh, but I think it's pretty decent. Those blue contacts NEED to go, though @_@
