*pokes* ohgod dead for a yearrrr
Mexican Pizza ... but not quite like Taco Bell's
Ingredients: Tomato sauce Ground beef Shredded heese of your choice (... mozzarella is awesome btw) Italian seasoning diced up onion + garlic (or onion flakes+garlic powder if you're cheap but then this is a cheap recipe thread so ...) tortilla shells
- VERY SIMPLE. Heat over to 400 degrees and brown your beef. - Spread tomato sauce on tortilla, leaving about a half inch around the edge as the crust I guess - Sprinkle layer of cheese, then toss on the ground beef - Sprinkle on MOAR CHEESE - Pop in oven on a pizza dish or something similar for like 10 minutes or until the tortilla is crispy
GHETTO MEXICAN PIZZA YEAH. and by mexican I mean the only thing even remotely of the sort in this recipe is the tortilla YEAH

Oh god, I will totally make that someday...
Hey, if you can, do you know any good recipes that involve only a microwave?

I probably do, but none come to mind at the moment. I need to get back in the kitchen and start experimenting again, we just don't have much food to experiment with right now, haha.

That sucks. But hey, if you come up with some ideas that don't involve cooking/microwave cooking, drop by and write it down for me... every little bit helps.

Will do!
... well, if you're ever super desperate, if your dorm has a window with some constant sunlight during the day, you can take a large plastic container (Country Crock butter container? Yes), pour some water into it and add some ramen to it and let it cook for a few hours. You'll have some nomlicious ramen ready to eat nice and hot, whoohoo!

RECIPE TIME lots of which are just some common ideas for now, but hey it works Salads! -any type of greens work, really - just depends on your taste +baby spinach = sweet, mild taste +lettuce = varying taste thanks to wide variety +arugula = peppery, rich taste -pretty much anything can be tossed in +buy precooked chicken +tomato +carrot +onion +cucumber +olive +mushroom +bell pepper +bacon bits +cheese of various types +hardboiled egg +croutons +deli meat +shrimp +etc. Refer to this page for some recipes which may or may not be simple Wraps are a nice deviancy from sandwiches since you get a tortilla instead of bread. You can do pretty much anything to a wrap that can be performed on a sandwich, and then some. More to come soonish? I'unno. If you want, you can tell me some things you like to eat and don't like so I can narrow down what I post up and don't waste all time :U

Grandma taught mom this recipe and mom taught me:
Get some macaroni (I prefer elbow or shells) and lightly brown them.
When browned in a pot, add a can of tomato sauce (use same can to add water... I use one can but my mom uses half a can and my grandma uses one and a half).
Cook for five minutes or so and let sit for another five for the sauce to thicken. Add salt and pepper if you desire, cheese works as well...

Cheese wrap + shredded cheese (I usually blend mozzarella with cheddar) + tortilla wrap Put the shredded cheese on the tortilla. Don't roll it up yet. Microwave for about 20-30 seconds, just enough to melt the cheese. Then wrap it (caution, it will be hot). I made this up myself after trying Taco Bell's cheese wrap thing. SO good. But I didn't feel like going there every time I wanted it. Icebox Cake + graham crackers + chocolate pudding mix (I'm not sure how many, I would say two or three boxes) + rectangular cake tray bake-y thing Line the bottom of the cake tray with graham crackers. Break some in half if they don't fit towards the sides. Then put a layer of pudding over that. Then put another layer of graham crackers. Then another layer of pudding. Then crush up some graham crackers on the top. I would wait about 10 minutes before eating. My recipes are simple because I'm lazy and that's like the most cooking/baking I would do (it's barely even cooking though )
