Lady Gaga, while I agree with Ahknee, is fucking smart. She knows how to make money. As much as I hate the message being sent, she's smart. Completely agree

You know what the sad part is? I'm tempted to extend that to Paris Hilton and anyone else who get famous for no reason. The people famous just on reputation (sex tapes, fights, exes of someone famous) are either really smart or really lucky to know smart people that keep them in the tabloids.

MOE MOE DESUUUU~~ Moe is a character type seen in many anime that is ridiculously cute (my very simplified definition). It's an overplayed theme in series made in the last decade or so, sadly.
My opinion on Gaga is pretty, uh, in-depth considering I don't like the woman. She keeps advocating be yourself, be who you are and don't let anyone or anything change you, but then her message is a bit hypocritical because she had to entirely change herself just to get to where she is now. And, of course I never judge based on fans, but my god so many of her fans are completely ridiculous I wish I could collectively hit them all in the face.

Here's the best definition for Moe that I can give you. I also think this is hilarious. (Quoted from TVTropes.org) "Sailors Saturn and Mercury in Sailor Moon are prototype cases - in fact, there's a theory that the term Moe was originally derived from Saturn's civilian name, To moe Hotaru (written as 土萌; even the relevant kanji is the same.) Researchers such as Patrick W. Galbraith and Tamaki Saitō have found that "moe" was first used in 2channel in the 1990s, discussing female characters who were "hybrids of the Lolicon (Lolita Complex) and bishoujo (beautiful girl) genres". As this describes exactly Hotaru Tomoe, and coincides with Hotaru Tomoe's height of popularity in 2channel, there is likeliness in the theory that Sailor Moon is the Trope namer." So... go Sailor Moon!? (This is, however, only a theory, and Moe has more or less spiraled into a cute little woobie, and that's it.)

Like I said before, the Moe trope has been mutated into basically a character who's just there to look absolutely adorable. Hotaru's nothing like that. She's kind of an essential plot point.
(Also, how did Mercury get into that list? She doesn't remind me of Moe at all. Meh. Your Mileage May Vary indeed.)
