What are some differences you can think of between the two? Let's make a grand list!
1) No Sailor Cosmos in the anime. 2) Chaos was an ugly mofo in the manga, but in the anime, she was just a goth version of Galaxia.

manga: Darker. And by darker I was like "wtf THERE'S MELTING FACES AUGH" when I was like 12. anime: Less dark. And by less dark there was no melting happening, thankfully.

I totally get what you mean with the melting faces. I hated that. I thought it was the ugliest, grossest thing ever. I never knew the thing about Venus defeating Beryl, even though I have that book. I guess I forgot.
Let's see... I guess a difference in the uniforms. Like Venus had that chain thing around her skirt (or was that Mars?)

Anime: Moon surrenders the Holy Grail to Mistress Nine
Manga: Moon does not hand over the holy grail
(might have this backwards, but I know that the manga is supposed to be more hardcore)

I think you got that right. If I remember correctly, (and it's been a couple years for me), she hands over the grail to save her friends.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's right.
Crossdressing vs. genderbending in the final season, y/y?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's right. Crossdressing vs. genderbending in the final season, y/y? Wait wut? I thought the Starlights were always genderbending, even in the manga.

Nope, just crossdressing. I think Takeuchi-sensei was quite unhappy when she found out they made the Starlights males in the anime.

I bet she was even more angry when she found out Michelle and Amara were "cousins" in the US version. They should've just made them best friends or sisters.
I wonder how long it'll be until gay couples are "allowed" to be in children's programs, and when people will finally start accepting it.

I remember she was at a panel answering questions at some thing in the US and she expressed very firmly to fans that they were lovers and not cousins, ha.
Right now the only gay I see in children's programs is when the creators sneak it in. It'll take a long time for it to ever be accepted.
Oh, difference! Doomtree arc = anime only.

doom tree is filler anyway...
the anime has a strange time loop that keeps the senshi from being in high school in SuperS, the manga originally has them in high school before Stars
