I know 24 is not ancient, but given I'm working conventions and my body is breaking down a lot faster than I thought it ever would... I just can't help but feel ancient when I see little kids and their young parents at conventions while my back is hurting from helping move boxes and stuff to set up.

I hope you've been stretching daily, that helps keep you loose 'n' fresh. or something If it's any consolation, I have shit knees thanks to being Greek footed. The delicious pains of this foot type, I tell you, it just never ends (and explains why standing in any job for so long huts me worse than others).

I do stretch, I also practice Qui-Gong every morning... I don't remember if I told y'all this but like two years ago I was hit by a pickup truck in my neighborhood. I have a noticeable limp when I am fatigued, my left knee never fully healed...

Qui-Gong is a meditation form, it is integrated into many martial arts disciplines to my knowledge and yes this includes Kung-Fu...
So, how I got hit by a truck... I was crossing the street and the guy who hit me was running a red light. I was halfway across the crosswalk before he plowed into me... I didn't break anything thankfully, I was just sore and numb. I didn't have health insurance back then and I kind of still don't now so I am pretty much walking on a crippled leg... I'm surprised it has held out this long, I can't ignore it any more though and eventually I'll learn the truth about whether or not I've screwed up my leg for life.

i knew it was something like that cause of the name Qui-Gong, it sounds like a kun-fu name. (to me *o.o*)

every now and then it bothers me, I'm not on crutches either... I can't sue a person without the proper information and as it is right now I do not remember the make, model, or even color of the pickup that hit me. I just remember that the guy was on a cell phone and the collision was at about... five miles per hour give or take, some speed that didn't do much damage but still sent me into the middle of the street

5mph in a moving mass that weighs over a ton does not bode well for anyone.
And this, friends, serves as a lesson: always get the license plate number!

I really dropped the ball there, I usually take pride in my awareness... even though I'm making sure there won't be a next time, I'll make sure to take note of EVERYTHING in the future
