Ever draw something on Paint and call it your masterpiece?

^ YES
I actually prefer using plain traditional media tools whenever I can. Up until a couple of years ago you could find me actually using crayons (... yes, crayons), some cheap colored pencils, plain old ballpoint pens, and cheap school markers.

crayons are great for coloring books, but i can't stand using them in my drawings. perhaps it is just that waxy look they leave.

I like the waxy look on some things. If I want to make something have a nostalgic air, I'll use crayons to add some OOMPH here and there.
I also reallyreally love pastels, even if they're messy as hell. It's like a grownup's crayons.

I've had this massive urge to paint like no other lately, but I'm too poor to afford the materials D:

Where's my Sailor Saturn? All I have is the whiteboard drawing that I took a picture of.

MOAR ART ARE YOU READY?! This time I bring you traditional works. It's a big post, be ready for carpal tunnel via downscrolling. This was a request from my friend over spring break and ... uh, I was really not putting too much effort into this ... so I'm kinda ashamed of it u__u; This was from my junior year of art. He wanted us to do a still life with objects representing us. The broken glasses are ones I had from the middle of sixth grade up to the middle of sophomore year, the White Diamonds bottle is my favorite perfume, the glasses case was for my new ones (and now contains awesome things like my first Dir en Grey concert ticket), the cards are for all those days in advisory playing games, and the marker is for ...nothing, it just connects the objects. The teacher made us do lots of hand drawings at first. This one was for foreshortening he wanted us to do. I got really tired of drawing my hand after first quarter. I admit, though, I got really good at drawings hands after this xD We had to cut out things from magazines and collage them together, then redraw and paint out the scene. The dude was originallly sleeping on a ... sleeping pill, haha. I think it was Ambien, actually. This was our final project for junior year. We had to make this mixed media item that somehow represented us. I didn't have any good pics of me at the time, so I focused on doing mine over fun times. Of course, all I had was homecoming pictures, so that's what I tossed on. ... this was sophomore year, back when I had my old art teacher. She wanted us to do mixed-media calendars. I used crayons on the grass xD From freshman year. I'm really not too fond of this one anymore since it's so ... old and crappy, haha. We did this on scratchboard. I'm really proud of this one since it turned out so well, especially since it was from my freshman year and I was kinda ... terrible at lots of art then xD; Haha.
