Favorite Sailor Moon childhood memories

I was just looking at some Sailor Moon pics on Google and it brought back memories.

- in 4th grade when I would draw all my friends as Sailors and make their own colors and names and stuff (ex. one of my friends loved dogs so we made her a "Sailor Puppy" lol)

- printing out Sailor Moon newsletters for my friends when I figured out how to use all that stuff on Microsoft Word

- wanting a Sailor Moon themed birthday party but not being able to find decorations

- Sailor Moonies of course

- printing out Sailor Moon coloring pages, coloring them in, and putting them on the wall

- trying to put my hair up in odangos... and failing. Miserably.

- making my own Sailor Moon shirts with those iron on things (now there's merch all over Hot Topic... 10 years too late T_T)

- When I was eight and I wrote a story about all the Senshi and took it to school and my teacher read it to the whole class...and I got a sticker *yay*

- Drawing myself as a Sailor and writing up a whole story with other Senshi and everything lol.

- Coming home after school and chilling on the sailormoon.com chatrooms all day. No one believed me when I answered their "asl?" with "female, 8 years old" lmao

You had friends that liked Sailor Moon?! I was always so frustrated because no one I knew had ever heard of Sailor Moon before

My friend Alice introduced the series to me. Since we were both too young to stay home alone, we'd both get dragged to the restaurant our mothers worked at (her mom owned the place) and sit there for a few hours after school and watch it whenever she remembered to bring the tapes with her.

Also that fond memory of finishing my first fanfic for the series /sheds tear

Wow, you're lucky you had friends who also liked Sailor Moon. I discovered it by myself when I was like 5. None of my friends had heard of Sailor Moon, so I was always alone in it

I remember I'd always be inside on the computer surfing Sailor Moon websites (who remembers Sailormercury.com?!) whilst all the other kids my age were playing outside haha. That's how I discovered Sailor Moonies

I remembre drawing (sailormoon characters/my own made up people) along time ago and got into the drawing and every since then...the sailormoon female eyes stayed with me and i end up drawing eyes like that regularly carried up to now (along with the sailormoon male characters eyes drawings)

Oh man Sailor Moon art style stuck with me for years. The influence is still slightly visible in how I draw and I'm just like augh.

Life was tough since Alice was my only friend into the series and she wasn't nearly as into it as I was, hehe. Also, yes!! All the domains with the sailor names! I think sailorjupiter.com recently revived like a year or two ago and it's still as gloriously dated as it's always been.

sailormoon drawing kicked in i think "right" when i started drawing after i seen sailormoon (it don't be on purpose either i "ACTUALLY" draw like that for real now...so interesting if you ask me =)

i remembered watching sailor moon with my big brother and big sisters we was on that anime like wow! ^.^ i mean right when it came out...and i end up started liking it as my favorite anime overall! (we also seen dragonball Z too but although i've seen dragon ball Z...it wasn't nowhere compared to how muh i like sailormoon though! not at all =) ) i remembre some of my big brother some of my big sis' was like "O.O" cause i told them that i love sailormoon more than dragonball Z lols ^.^ it still carries on too dragonball Z can't beat sailormoon nor other animes sailormoon is the best anime ever to me!!! ^.^

I also remembre this "transformation" part sailormoon does and i it into the song (the first one) and every since then...i started liking the transformation part fully and cried cause of the song...

Ah, Dragonball Z My favourite channel was Fox Kids. I remember all the animes it used to show; DBZ, Sailor Moon, Shinzo, Shin Chan, Digimon...
And when it turned into Jetix they started airing Naruto.
...Then Disney XD took over n_n

Yeah, the Sailor Moon eyes stuck with me throughout my childhood when I started drawing. I think Sailor Moon must have introduced a lot of people into drawing/art.

All those animes and cartoons you said ik of except for shin chan...although it does sounds familiar... i think ik of it too ^.^

Other than Shin Chan (which I didn't watch until Adult Swim aired it), I don't really recall Fox Kids in the States having the broadcast rights for Sailor Moon or DBZ either... might have just been my city but if it wasn't on Cartoon Network then it was on a local WB affiliate channel.

Digimon I still remember well, I HATED the dub even back when I was a little kid but I loved the show and I still have a soft spot for the first 3 seasons. Jetix was the beginning of the end for me though regarding Fox Kids... once Disney launched their XD channel I could foresee the end, sure enough despite having Naruto Shippuden anime was removed from Disney XD almost entirely regarding the USA.

Nowadays, I'm torn between Nickelodeon's Nicktoons network (when they air ANY Dragonball, I don't like Yu-Gi-Oh or Digimon "Fusion") or Adult Swim as 4Kids' block here (Toonzai or something on the CW) isn't really my interest anymore... and that's mainly IF I watch anime on cable.

I too love the first 3 seasons of Digimon. Especially the second season.

Adventure, Adventure 02, and Tamers are truly the best of the best for Digimon... it all went downhill once Frontier started, there are still elements I like from the seasons after Tamers but I can't say I'm a fan of anything beyond Tamers.

(I really hope everyone knows what I'm talking about since I haven't referred to the seasons by number)
