I don't think the US will take it. Anime has sort of died down over here. There's not even a Toonami anymore. When was the last time you saw a few animes on television? There's still hope for manga though, I guess.

anime may be making a comeback if you have premium tv (cable or satellite)... Dragon Ball Z Kai and Naruto Shippuden are on two very american networks

adult swim still airs series, though it's 90% reruns and it's always late on Saturday nights-early Sunday mornings.
Funimation has the On Demand service for a few cable/satellite providers, as does some anime network.
IFC sometimes runs a series, but I haven't checked in a while since I don't have it anymore. It also shows movies on occasion.
Syfy had "Animonday" ... do they still? Last time I watched it was for Noein :3
But that's all I got off the top of my head.

IFC runs movies now, SyFy is slowly phasing out ani-mondays as is their sister network Chiller...
Adult Swim is doing the same with their action block and I don't know much about Funimation's channel... I know ADV's went up a long time ago, some providers still have anime on demand but it's not ADV anymore. (though ADV shows are still shown)

Funimation's been doing series that have mostly been released in the past 3-4 years nowadays, obviously because most anime fans these days consist of people who popped up in that time span and are interested in that period and later.
... that reminds me, they're apparently taking up a Kuroshitsuji dub. do not know if want :c

From the Wiki episode summaries and how much it deviates from the manga, seriously do not want.

I hate SyFy now, too. I miss the old name and the old logo. Then again, I never watched it much before. But yeah... stations are realllly going downhill nowadays.

hence why I don't watch too much tv anymore; maybe for the occasional show I find myself liking but ... that's about all.

*pokes* *Phoenix Down*
Ahem, well. Hong Kong has started to run promo commercial spots for Sailor Moon, meaning the series is getting a rerelease over there. Italy's received a shitload of awesome merch and, of course, the newer releases of the manga. There's rumor about them getting a game for the DS ... hmm.
Onwards, Takeuchi has expressed interest in doing more SM - but, of course, don't take this as anything serious because it was a very ambiguous answer not even given by the lady herself.
Of the biggest news, Sailor Moon is up for licensing in the west. Funimation apparently expressed great interest in the series, but so have some other companies, hhmmm. Do I sniff a potential bidding war? (this was actually announced a couple of months ago, but I haven't quite kept up like a good girl, whoops. As of the most recent news, everyone's tight-lipped and there's nothing we know about it being a go yet)

Awesome. I'm hoping Funimation gets it since they're pretty good with their dubs... so I'm seen from Yu Yu Hakusho.
