Since apparently 49/50 states have snow on the ground (take a guess which one doesn't), I thought I'd like to hear everyone's opinions about the insane winter the country has had.
I'm sure the weather here in NC isn't nearly as insane as the weather in some other parts of the country, but it feels like we'll never get to graduate. D:
I heard on the news a little while ago that some counties were going to have to break one state law to keep from breaking another. It's either not go to school the required 180 days or go to school past June 10th (which is illegal).
(Those of you living in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey are probably calling us a bunch of wimps for having snow days for only a few inches of snow. xD )

I actually looove winter.
But the weather did get crazy at some points. Like, sometime last month we had a storm for a few days straight. Constant strong winds/gusts and heavy rain. Which is SO unusual for California! We were freaking out. D:

I'm calling all of you people wimps. ALL OF YOU even though I'm still a St. Louis girl at heart durrrr :U
See, worst weather I've seen since I came out here was when it hit -19 (with a -38 windchill dear sweet jesus whyyyyy) and snowed a foot or two and I still had to go to school gdmt.
Thankfully, there hasn't been much insane snow this year - I think that one time where I showed you guys a picture was the worst we got. I'm just glad I don't live up in the mountains to see how bad they get it there.

I'm a California born man living in Texas... I've seen snow on the top of a mountain in Nevada and experienced the dessert cold in Arizona and New Mexico, extreme hot and cold I've experienced in shorts and without pants. No weather phases me anymore...

The only thing I'm scared of at this point is a tornado since I live right up in tornado alley ... although everyone I know out here has told me that don't see jack shit, haha. I guess I'm just not living in the right areas since it's usually more west of where I live that gets smacked with'em.

I loved winter until this winter. We've been out of school three days in a row this week, and it hasn't done anything. It's just been windy. We are a bunch of wimps aren't we? xD
I used to not be afraid of tornadoes till we randomly had two hit on the other side of the county last May. Several people who have lived here all their lives said they had never seen a tornado or even heard of a tornado in our area. You can still go to that part of the county and see trees that look like giant toothpicks.

Winter and I have a love-hate relationship. It kills the bugs, but then I freeze my ass off most days. So, I love and hate it.

It does kill bugs. And I sleep better under a bunch of covers trying to stay warm than I do in the middle of the night sweating with the window open and the fan on. I have no use for winter anymore. All it's been doing is keeping me locked up at home and delaying our graduation by about a week or more, and taking our spring break. This year is just the worst possible year for the semester to get stretched...

We have no spring break thanks to the latest blizzard. And yes, Serenity, NC are wimps when it comes to the snow. Now, granted, it's not as bad as Ahknee had it, but our snow was about 3 feet after two storms battered us, one right after the other. We had to declare a state of emergency-- no one on the roads for an entire day unless you were emergency services.
I love having 1-2 snow days per year, but any more and they'll push our finals so that we don't get out a week early. I'm thinking, "What the hell? Seniors have seniority! We get what we deserve."

Seniors in my school have nothing. Honestly, over half of the underclassmen are probably taller than me. I don't even feel like a senior. Graduation was originally supposed to be May 28, but with the snow it's been pushed on into June by now. That's really really bad for me... I was freakin paranoid enough as is, but now I'm ridiculously afraid of not getting to attend my own graduation. Maybe my constant worries and paranoia are something I should blog about... or something I should get checked. Or both. Gah, I don't know.

Sorry. I sometimes get into this state where I tend to pile paranoia and the rest of my problems onto unsuspecting and/or unwilling people. It has worsened with the pregnancy mood swings. xP

Just relax. The little one will decide when he's ready and there's nothing you can do about it. The best thing to do is to try and let it go. (Listen to me. I'm not pregnant telling you how it is. How silly of me...)

It's okay. At this point, I'll take all the consolation and advice I can get. Thanks.
