She is, in fact that was the topic that started this thread... LOL that's what I was gonna say. Someone was having a blonde moment I guess.  Black Lady is what they called her in the Japanese version. In the U.S. version, they called her Wicked Lady. Which sounds better than Black Lady. Black Lady makes me think of... well, a black woman :B |

I think that's why they changed her name, "black lady" sounds like a slur for an evil person... but I don't really get why some people hate the change. Wicked Lady sounds better

Some people are just purists who will always say ORIGINAL IS BEST, DUB SUCKS without a care as to whether the change was a good one or not.

I think the original and the dub both have their pros and cons. I mean... Usagi is a really, really ugly name. I've always thought so. I like Serena better, though I think Selena/Selene would've been better because of the whole moon thing.

Serena is way more common than Selena/Selene would've been, at least to us US audiences.
Also I need to not stare at those names too long because they look funny after a a few glances.

Really? I had a friend named Selena back when I started liking Sailor Moon, so maybe that's why. She also named her cat Luna because she liked the show too. She was so awesome.
But Jesus, Usagi? I just think of a soggy waffle.
